About the Role:
In this role, your duties may include:
- Providing comprehensive & expert assessment & care planning for consumers referred to the Mental Health services of FMC Emergency Department
- Supporting and works collaboratively with less experienced members of the nursing team
- Monitoring patient care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To be Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds a current practicing certificate.
- Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
- Demonstrated competence in Mental Health nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards
- Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
To be considered for the RN2C (Clinical Nurse) level you must have recent demonstrated competence in an equivalent practice setting with at least three years, full time equivalent, post registration experience with experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced Registered Nurses.
