About the Role
Quirindi Hospital are looking for Registered and Enrolled nurses to join their wonderful team in the provision of high quality safe and effective nursing care to staff, patients or consumers using a person centred approach to the Quirindi community and surrounds. The successful applicants with Ensuring effective delivery of quality, timely and culturally appropriate patient care to a diverse range of people with a range of health issues related to physical or mental illness and/or other health challenges. Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and quality in the delivery of healthcare and promote evidence informed practice within the ward/unit by; participating in the development and evaluation of clinical pathways; contributing to health care planning, practice and evaluation; delivery of care in accordance to the National Patient Safety and Quality Standards.
The successful candidate will be provided with appropriate orientation and training supports to enable them to complete the requirements of the role. They will be reporting directly to the Health Service Manager, Jodie Martin

We are looking for motivated and experienced Registered Nurses with experience in emergency Nursing and or recent experience in an Acute Care setting. You should have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and demonstrate a capacity to work within a team and accept responsibility for own actions and outcomes and using same as an opportunity to learn and develop and will have a strong focus to provide patient centred care and incorporates the principles of excellence.
Where you'll be working
Quirindi, known as the 'nest in the hills', is located in the picturesque Liverpool Plains, less than an hours' drive from Tamworth. The town is surrounded by stunning landscapes and picture-perfect fields of bright sunflowers. Quirindi Health Service incorporates Quirindi Hospital, which is an acute hospital facility with 24hr/7day emergency department and HealthOne Quirindi, which provides General Practice and Community Health services on site. All these services work in partnership to provide patient-centred and coordinate care to the local community encompassing the Liverpool Plains
Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme
This vacancy is eligible for an Attraction and Relocation package that includes the following*:
- Attraction incentive paid as a Rural and Regional fortnightly allowance of up to $20,000 for the first 12-months
- Retention incentive of up to $10,000 thereafter annually
- PLUS 3 months accommodation assistance (e.g. rent payments, mortgage re-payments, payments for commercial accommodation)
- PLUS Relocation benefits (e.g. expenses incurred due to relocation such as leave for moving, travel to look at potential accommodation, removal and storage costs, transactional and incidental costs due to the sale and purchase of a home, plus more!)
- PLUS Family Travel Assistance (e.g. reimbursement of a return economy air fare to and from the nearest capital city for a family member that is usually part of your household per year)
*All payments and reimbursements made to part time employees will be on a pro-rata basis.
Attraction incentives will be paid as a Rural and Regional fortnightly allowance on top of your base salary.
Other forms of payment/package options (where you are eligible) need to be negotiated with the Convenor and may include**:
- Additional annual professional development days (up to 5 more per year)
- Additional personal leave (up to 5 more per year)
- Computer/internet reimbursement (e.g. laptop, wi-fi costs)
- Return airfare to and from your work base (or equivalent motor vehicle allowance) so you can still visit family and friends
**The total value of your incentive package would remain the same. Employees are responsible for seeking independent financial advice before accepting an Attraction and Retention Incentive package as part of their offer.

- An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
- This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
- To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
