Our Medical Services at Western Health are currently seeking highly motivated Registered Nurses to join our team. Medical Services at Western Health offers a wide range of services including General Medicine, Gastroenterology, Mental Health and Special Medicine (Neurology, Stroke, Respiratory and Sleep Disorders Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Rheumatology and Dermatology). Our Medical Services operates at a variety of sites and is currently offering the following exciting opportunities.
The below selection criteria apply to all vacancies listed:
- Successful completion of Bachelor of Nursing
- Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 12 months working experience within an Australian hospital setting (not including placements)
- Demonstrate the ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to high quality and ongoing to maintain a culture of patient centred care.
- Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work a rotating roster
- Possess excellent clinical skills

Registered Nurse – Ward 2C (General Internal Medicine, Rheumatology & Dermatology)

We are looking for a motivated Registered Nurse with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills to come and work on Ward 2C.
Ward 2C is a 24-bed unit at Footscray specialising in the care of patients under General Internal Medicine, Rheumatology & Dermatology which is responsible for admitting acute patients from ED, ICU, and CCU.
The unit focuses on the quality of patient care and has a strong emphasis on teamwork across all disciplines of the healthcare team to achieve the best possible outcome for our patients.

Registered Nurse – Ward 3F (Respiratory Medicine, Infectious Diseases/General Internal Medicine

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative Registered Nurse to join the team at 3F. If you are a dynamic, experienced nursing professional with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care this position could be for you.
As a Registered Nurse in 3F you will work together within a multidisciplinary team, to ensure provision of high quality nursing care to patients within the ward through effective leadership and management of all nursing staff. Please refer to Position Description for more information relating to the responsibilities of the role.
To be successful for this role you will have:
- Preferably with Respiratory and Infectious Diseases Nursing Experience
- Demonstrated an advanced clinical knowledge

$67,527.20 - $95,378.40 based on Experience per Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024.
