Registered Nurse – Targeted

About the role: 

Are you a Registered Nurse seeking to develop broad clinical skills and knowledge in renal nursing that can be applied to a variety of clinical situations? We are looking for dynamic, energetic and vibrant staff to join our Nephrology Unit at John Hunter Hospital.

Based in our Renal Ward located in K1 we have multiple opportunities for Registered Nurses to join our team running this fast-paced ward that operates 24/7 Monday – Sunday. While experience is preferred it is not essential, you will be working with patients with acute and chronic kidney failure in our Renal Ward offering both Peritoneal Dialysis and Haemodialysis Dialysis. You will be working with a dynamic team who go the extra step to deliver high quality patient care. The team focuses on patient centred care, innovation, research and are committed to continuous improvement of the service. We are a supportive team with an empathetic approach to our patients and their chronic complex kidney disease needs.

  • You will join an exceptional team within a hospital's acute care setting.
  • Our team consists of a Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant, Renal Educator, Doctors, Team Leader Haemodialysis Dialysis Unit, Nurses, Pharmacists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Administration Case Managers, Dialysis Flow Coordinator and Kidney Treatment Options Coordinator.

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

This is a Category A position.
