Some of your primary duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Provide primary health care, advice and support to members of the MLC community and being on-call overnight during consecutive workdays.
- Referral to other health care professionals as appropriate.
- Purchase supplies and clinic equipment.
- Selection, requisition and dispensing of medical equipment, medications, and supplies. Record, monitor and administer all medication required by students.
- Updating Clinic Policy and Procedure manual and task documentation
- Manage the First Aid kits, Defibrillators and General Use EpiPens throughout Marshmead as required.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical treatment records
- Organise appointments with and the transfer of patients to the General Practitioner, Health Professionals or Ambulance service
- Liaise with parents and staff prior to, and over the course of the term regarding the medical care of their daughter and provide appropriate documentation.
- To carry out administrative and operational duties associated with the daily operations of Marshmead
- To be actively involved as a member of the Marshmead team
- Ensure MLC compliance with Ministerial Order 706 and the MLC Anaphylaxis Management Policy.

MLC Marshmead is a 114-hectare property, located on a remote and environmentally sensitive site in far eastern Victoria, surrounded by the Croajingolong National Park. Access to the property is either by boat or by vehicle. The property includes a residential village and a working farm. Produce from the farm is used by the MLC Marshmead community.

About You
- Appropriate Division 1 Nursing Qualifications, Registration and Experience
- Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of school nursing incorporating child and adolescent health and development
- Practise in accordance with legislation related to school nursing practice and child and adolescent healthcare
- Effectively manage material resources
- HLTAID0011 - Provide First Aid (Previously known as Senior First Aid or Level 2 First Aid)
- HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (22578VIC)
- Course in the Management of Asthma Risk and Emergencies in the Workplace (22556VIC) Or 10760NAT Course in Asthma Awareness
- 22303VIC Course in Verifying the Correct Use of Adrenaline Autoinjector Devices
- SISOFLD004 Provide first aid in remote locations
- SISXEMR002 Coordinate emergency Response
- Ability to work self-directed within a team environment
- Right to work in Australia
- Adherence to all College policies and demonstration of behaviours in accordance with the Child Safe Standards
- A current Working with Children Check and Police Check
