• Indwelling Urinary Catheter change skills is an added advantage but not compulsory 

Tasks & responsibilities

• Medication Management: Administering medications as prescribed, monitoring for adverse reactions, and ensuring compliance with medication regimens.
• Monitoring Vital Signs: Regularly monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate to detect any changes in health status.
• Wound Care and Urinary Catheter Change: Changing of urinary catheter, assessingand managing wounds, including dressing changes, wound cleansing, and monitoring for signs of infection or complications. 
• Nutritional Support: Assisting with meal planning, feeding, and ensuring patients receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
• Emotional Support: Providing emotional support and companionship to elderly patients, addressing their psychosocial needs, and promoting social engagement and interaction.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, care interventions, and observations in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Collaboration: Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, social workers, and family members, to coordinate care and ensure holistic support for elderly patients.
• Advocacy: Advocating for the rights and preferences of elderly patients, ensuring they receive dignified and person-centered care that respects their autonomy and wishes.
