About the role

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated operator to positively contribute and add value to our high performing team, based in Riverview. This position will report to the Manager RTO and Training Delivery and be responsible for the RTO compliance and performance optimisation. 

In addition, this role will oversee activities to ensure the RTO meets its regulatory requirements together with the implementation of systems and processes to support overall performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assess all RTO regulatory requirements with ASQA and State Government regulators.
• Ensuring RTO is compliant and ready for audit at all times.
• Work closely with Operational Training teams to ensure compliance is maintained.
• Keep up-to-date with latest ASQA, meat industry and DESBT requirements.
• Coach, train and support Workplace Trainer and Assessors through regulatory changes.
• Manage and develop Student Management System to ensure compliance, quality student experiences and optimal business performance.
• Proactively research and explore all funding opportunities.
• Provide information and reports relating to the effective management of budgets including cost control and budget reporting.
• Develop and distribute training manuals, policies and procedures to meet JBS, ASQA and DESBT requirements relating to compliance and performance.
• Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Support the development of Training and Assessment Strategies and Assessment tools.
• Submission of change of scope, renewal of RTO Registration application using ASQANet, when required.
• Planning, coordinating, executing and monitoring all compliance activities.
• Assist in the development and design accredited training courses at all levels.
• Manage all external contract requirements for Group Training.
• Prepare for and manage regular audits to ensure compliance and implement change from audit outcomes.
• Understand financial implications and processes of an RTO.
• Review all JBS Group VET requirements to ensure compliance.
• Provide monthly progress reports with insights and commentary relating to RTO key performance indicators.
• Support the coordination of accredited training delivered by the JBS RTO across JBS group.

Experience, Skills, Competencies

• Experience in RTO compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in working with funded government contracts.
• Demonstrated experience working within the current Standards for RTOs 2015.
• Previous experience in System Administration of training databases (aXcelerate or similar).
• High level computer literacy in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• RTO business and/or financial background.
• Responds calmly in difficult situations maintaining a strong customer service focus.
• Exceptional ability to prioritise and multi-skill.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
• Takes other's perspective's into consideration.
