The Architects Registration Board of Victoria (ARBV) is a self-funding statutory authority which has as its primary responsibilities the registration of architects and approval of architectural companies/partnerships, the regulation of the professional conduct of architects (including complaints) and the regulation of prescribed terms linked to the practice of architecture. Reporting to the Manager Registration, the Registration and Administration Officer supports ARBV’s registration process by processing applications for registration, assisting with pre-registration and renewals programs, contributing to the accuracy and currency of data held in the CRM system and CPD records.
The incumbent will be able to demonstrate an understanding of registration processes and have strong experience in providing administrative support related functions, preferably within government or a similar setting.
Activities you will be responsible for:
Registration
- Assist the Manager Registration in delivering the ARBV's registration functions including registration, registration renewal, Professional Indemnity Insurance notifications, registration class changes and other activities linked to registration
- Respond to general queries from a range of stakeholders (both in person, via telephone and via email) where appropriate and direct to colleagues for response as needed.
- Work with the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA) to deliver the Architectural Practice Examination and other AACA related functions
- Support the management of CPD compliance through the registration renewal process and work with the Compliance team to manage non-compliance
- Liaise with the AACA regarding their administration of the Architecture Program Accreditation Procedure for the accreditation of architecture programs
Administration Support
- Overall administration and office support
- Manage facilities/office issues as required to support efficient operations, including ordering office supplies and arranging contractors/external providers for office needs
- Arrange catering and manage events related activities
