About the Role:
Operating within the Water Supply Regulation team, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the quality and performance of drinking and recycled water service providers. Your responsibilities will include assessing drinking and recycled water quality management plans, conducting inspections, and collaborating with government agencies to address water quality incidents. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on public health by ensuring safe and reliable water supplies across Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess drinking and recycled water quality management plans to ensure compliance with legislation and guidelines.
- Conduct inspections and collect evidence to support regulatory actions.
- Respond to water quality incidents and collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate risks.
- Provide accurate advice on water legislation and regulations.
- Contribute to the development and review of regulatory documents.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, environmental science, public health) is highly regarded.
- Experience in regulatory compliance or drinking or recycled water quality management preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
