We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator to join our SEQ Team.

This role is to provide sound rehabilitation advice to managers, develop Return to Work plans including the coordination of the workplace rehabilitation of employees who sustain work-related injuries or illnesses.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate workplace rehabilitation for injured employees in line with Workers' Compensation legislative requirements.
- Provide workplace rehabilitation assistance in a proactive manner for the timely and safe Return to full capacity work of an injured employee through initiating early contact with the injured worker and their Supervisor.
- Consult with the Injury Management Adviser regularly regarding appropriate rehabilitation strategies for injured workers and regarding injured workers' progress.
- Liaise with the Injury Management Adviser, Workers' Compensation Unit, Supervisor, Manager, Treating Medical Officer, Allied Health Provider.
- Provide frontline leaders, health and safety representatives and workers with coaching and expert safety advice to develop safety capability throughout the business.
- Allied health experience would be preferred however, not essential.
- A high level of demonstrable skill in workplace rehabilitation processes including initiating early proactive workplace rehabilitation intervention, development of plans and consistent liaison with the injured worker and their Supervisor/Manager.
- Demonstrable, extensive knowledge of workplace rehabilitation legislative requirements, safety legislation and management systems.
- Demonstrable, high level of skill in the design and implementation of suitable duties plans, safety risk and change management strategies and methodologies.
- Demonstrable, high level of interpersonal and communication skills, including report writing, consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
