What you’ll be doing…
As the Reporting Analyst you will be responsible contributing to Virgin Australia’s strategic direction, profitability, and performance improvement by identifying areas of collaboration, enhancing insights, and improving the ability of reporting across numerous areas of the business.
You will look at enhancing communication and understanding of information, simplifying processes, and eliminating non-value add activities. As well as encouraging technology, they propose changes to the way our business operates so that we can become more efficient and better at what we do. Responsible for supporting such a broad area of the business will require a high level of organization, and ability to prioritise work while maintaining relationships.
The Reporting and Analytics team provides reporting and analytics services across multiple areas of Virgin Australia Airlines. Areas served include Sales, Revenue Management, Operations and Corporate. The objectives of the centralised analytics team are to provide our customers across the business with accurate, insightful and timely support for the reporting, data and analytics required to execute their individual strategies, while also sharing best practices and ensuring that there is a single source of truth of data across the airline.
You’ll be great in this role if you have…
- 2-5 Years experience in analytical roles based around formulating solutions to complex problems
- Experience developing SMART KPI’s
- Demonstrated experience using SQL. POWER BI or similar
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills (Verbal, written and oral). The ability to simplify complex data
- The ability to build relationships and engage with different levels of the business (including senior level management)
- The ability to influence outcome based on data-driven findings
- An understanding of financial and strategic principles and concepts
- Tertiary qualifications, ideally in the fields of IT, Finance or associated fields
