Research Development Manager required at the Centre of Research Excellence in Pulmonary Fibrosis
Part-time to Full time (0.6 - 1.0 FTE negotiable) fixed term opportunity for 12 months at Camperdown Campus
Base Salary $117,116 - $132,079 (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Centre of Research Excellence in Pulmonary Fibrosis (CRE-PF) team as a Research Development Manager to develop and support research endeavours. You will be closely working with the CRE-PF lead Professor Tamera Corte and other chief investigators of this nationally collaborative program.
This role is responsible for the general management of all operational aspects of the CRE-PF Research Development work, including planning, developing, submission and reporting of research funding applications to meet the Centre's research objectives. Drawing on their expertise in research, the Research Development Manager will play an active role in monitoring research funding opportunities, designing and developing funding applications, managing the application process with a large collaborative team, research commercialisation, and liaising with key stakeholders. The Research Development Manager reports on the progress of the research (including to external funding bodies), sources grant funding, and collaborates with academics and research professionals to achieve the goals of the CRE-PF.

have postgraduate qualifications and relevant work experience in a related field
proven track record of achievement in the development and success of research grant applications
a strong understanding of the higher education sector environment and culture, and the research funding landscape
a demonstrated ability to provide sound strategic Research Development advice and support to researchers
excellent analytical, strategic and critical thinking skills with demonstrated experience in evaluating complex problems/information to make sound judgements
a sound knowledge of Government policies and procedures regarding research funding and processes related to identifying, securing and managing funding.
