Here is your chance to join a small team of Reservation Officers in our head office located in Eight Mile Plains. Southern Cross Motel Group owns and operates 16 motels across Eastern Australia, and we have a unique opportunity for a dynamic individual with a keen interest in customer service, an eye for detail and a desire to learn.

We are seeking a Reservations Officer to join our team, as our company continues to grow. We are looking for someone with a professional and mature attitude who can join us on a casual basis. You will be a key member of our company, helping us to support 16 properties throughout regional Queensland, New South Wales and the NT, contributing to a high standard of presentation, strong occupancy and excellent guest satisfaction.

The Role:

• Answer reservation calls and respond to email enquiries for all our motels
• Provide quotes for group bookings
• Administration, reporting and maintaining accurate database information
• Liaise with on-site Property Managers when needed
• Stay up-to-date with details and offerings across all our properties
• Other ad-hoc duties, as time progresses and you make the role your own

What we need from you:

• Excellent communication skills and a great telephone manner
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Excellent organisational, time management and interpersonal skills
• The ability and desire to achieve great outcomes for our guests and the business in general
• A self-starter with a 'can-do' attitude
• Prior experience in a busy central reservations environment would be beneficial
• Experience using a PMS (ie. Guestpoint) - however training will be provided
• Previous experience working in the Hospitality/Tourism Industry
• Previous experience in reservations, front desk, or customer service roles is a plus
