VMCH Disability Services division provides statewide high-quality services aimed at supporting individuals to remain independent within the community. We are currently seeking talented, passionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers who are passionate about working in Disability sector to work in our permanent Supported Disability Accommodations (SDA) and facility-based respite settings
We have various permanent part time roles available across metropolitan and eastern suburbs.

About the role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide quality care and support to individuals who are living with a disability. You will provide support to housemates within the Accommodations to live independently and pursue the lifestyle of their choosing whilst providing encouragement to achieve their goals and empower them to have a voice.
- Provide personalised care and support is provided based on each individual's needs and in conjunction with their Person Centred Plan (PCP).
- Respect the rights and choices of clients and their families and to empower them to undertake their own decision making
- Provide individual client service delivery including personal care services and support with manual handling
- Perform a range of domestic duties including cleaning, shopping and cooking
- Administration duties – reporting, documentation, and assist to develop, review and update care plans that are achievable and client focused

Successful candidates will be required to work a range of rostered shifts that may include mornings, afternoons, weekends, sleepovers and active nights and full day shifts depending on the setting they are working within.
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Disability Services
- Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current valid Driver’s Licence
- Must be available to work a minimum of 20 – 25 hours per week and be flexible to work across a 24 hour roster
- Knowledge of and respect for the rights and choices of clients and their families
- A Person-Centred approach to providing care and services
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
