Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking a Resource Recovery Business Officer to join our Resource Recovery Department.
Primary Objective of the position:
Contribute to the effective and efficient operations of the Resource Recovery Business by:
- Assisting in the coordination and implementation of the Council Waste Management Strategy and Objectives.
- Develop and manage waste and Resource Recovery Business/action plans, programmes, and projects.
- Participate in the analysis and improvement of business process and practises.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Demonstrated skills in business analysis, mapping business processes and implementation of new systems.
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial and operational data to assist informed decision making.
- Experience in budget development and monitoring of data management systems and performance indicators.
- Effective analytical, problem solving and investigative skills with the ability to solve complex situations.
- Project and contract management skills and experience
- Demonstrated capacity to plan and manage multiple tasks/projects with tight timeframes.
- Task and goal oriented with a commitment to quality.
- Current driver’s licence.
