Position: Respiratory Scientist (Part-time)

• 6-month maternity leave contract for 4 days a week at 8.5hrs per day Monday-Thursday. 

Location: North Coast Respiratory and Sleep Clinic, St Vincent's Hospital Lismore, NSW 2480

Role Requirements:

• The successful candidate will regularly perform respiratory tests that include Spirometry, Full Pulmonary Function Testing, Bronchial Provocation Challenge (Mannitol challenge), and Six Minute Walk Test.
• Ensuring all respiratory function tests meet appropriate standards.
• Working with clinical and administrative staff to ensure delivery of best practice patient care and to contribute to a positive work environment.
• Performing administrative tasks associated with the practice activities including taking payments, uploading referrals and reports.

Essential Criteria

• Tertiary qualifications: Bachelor of science or equivalent
• A strong commitment to high quality care.
• Good interpersonal skills/bedside manner.
• Usage of Sentry Suite pulmonary function testing software (desirable)
• Ability to independently troubleshoot technical software and hardware problems.
• Ability to liaise with external providers for planned servicing or repair of testing equipment. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with Gentu medical practice software (desirable).

As part of the North Coast Respiratory and Sleep team, you will be working closely with other Respiratory Scientists along with Dr Churton, Dr Duncan, the practice manager and the administrative team.
