Sina’s Kitchen Divinely Sri Lankan is a highly reviewed traditional Sri Lankan restaurant in Mill Park in Victoria. They are currently looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join their expanding team.
The Role
You will have the opportunity to work in a truly dynamic team and you will have the chance. to display your creativity in the dishes that you create. You will also progress through the ranks at the restaurant.
This is a full-time role with an annual salary set at $ 70K-75K plus superannuation, based on the experience.
The Responsibilities
Your tasks at the restaurant will consist of:
- Delivering our values to the team members
- Training and developing key members of the team and ensuring succession planning is in place.
- Event management and organization.
- Ordering ingredients & supplies while staying within budget limitations.
- Coordinating daily front and back-of-house restaurant operations.
- Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste.
- Maintaining safety and food quality standards.
- Maintaining customer relations and handling complaints.
- Working with the business owner and direct manager to enhance the business quality, service, and results.
- Effective rostering and understanding of the restaurant industry award.
- Completing monthly stock takes and reviewing results and variances with relevant departments ensuring that in-house control system/audit requirements are adhered to.
- Proactively leading the team during service, ensuring all staff are performing effectively, the customer experience is memorable, and the team is motivated.
- Developing and maintaining a safe workplace adhering to our safety and wellbeing policy and procedures.
- Overseeing the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant, ensuring all equipment is cleaned, stored, and secured according to established procedures
The Requirements:
To be considered for the position you must meet the following requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in the restaurant management and hospitality industry Previous experience.
- Experience with different aspects of restaurant operations, including front of house and back of house, and the ability to train and educate staff.
- Relevant certifications in hospitality or restaurant management will be a bonus.
- Understanding of financial aspects, including budgeting, cost control, and profit margins.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure in a busy environment by providing excellent customer service skills to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff, customers, and vendors and strong problem-solving skills to handle issues that may arise in a fast-paced environment.
