About the business and the role
The historic Royal Hotel is located on beautiful Port Phillip Bay in the bustling seaside location of Mornington. An iconic venue which offers accommodation, event spaces and dining throughout. A large team manage the daily operations which include lunch and dinner 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Overview of position:
The Restaurant Manager reports directly to the Venue Manager on a daily basis. Within this role the Restaurant Manager is to ensure the restaurant areas within the hotel are running efficiently in line with our current service models around sequence of service and bookings.
Jobs associated within the role:
Offering efficient customer service and meeting the expectations of our guests both dining & staying inhouse
Overseeing staff in our designated restaurant areas
Overseeing our inhouse guest reception area on a daily basis
Processing of payments for inhouse room bookings over the phone on Little Hotelier (online inhouse guest room booking system)
Ensuring our reservations system is up to date with confirmed bookings daily
Tills/Cash up procedures are completed on a nightly basis
Staff training & hiring with a guidance when working on shift
Opening and closing procedures are followed in accordance with requirements of our business.
Skills and experience
We seek a self-motivated & enthusiastic hospitality professional to join our team. Prior experience in like roles necessary. Must be capable of leading and directing a large team. Available to work a 5 day structured working roster including weekends and public holidays.
Must hold a current RSA certificate.
