Job description:
Due to an internal promotion, we are on the lookout for and energetic and inspiring Retail Business Manager. Lead, coach and develop high performing teams to deliver market share growth through relentless execution of the IGA channel standards and Metcash strategic priorities. You will be required to travel consistently around the Sydney CBD, as well as Tamworth, Port Macquarie, and everything in between!
This role has a strong focus on setting & delivering sales targets by developing a robust regional plan, growing customer engagement by being a trusted business advisor, and building the ASM's capability to identify and execute sales opportunities that will drive sustainable growth for Metcash and our Customers.
What you'll do
- Develop and manage a regional plan through to instore execution, cascading business strategy and incorporating store and shopper data and network opportunities
- Set targets and objectives, and monitor Area Sales Manager's performance to deliver on sales revenue, profit and network execution targets
- Identify ways to extract value through efficient processes & reporting to improve how the team operates
- Represent retailers' position and share insights to State & National, identifying solutions to improve ease of doing business
- Create, develop and lead high performing teams and champion a high growth culture within the team and with internal stakeholders
- Nurture a learning environment through effective team meetings, and empower the team to actively contribute
What you'll be
- Multi-site grocery retail management knowledge and sales experience
- Demonstrated experience building customer relationships and influential partnerships
- Strong track record of people leadership - constructive leadership styles, coaching, developing & motivating teams
- In-depth technical sales knowledge to support retailers to be the best store in their town.
