About your role
Reporting to the Senior Product Manager - Retirement Tools, you will be responsible for optimising customer and member experience for Retirement Tools. You will collaborate with the business to expand existing capabilities across multiple digital touchpoints to drive growth in usage and net promoter score.

You will be responsible for creating and owning the Retirement Tools’ roadmap for the tools you have ownership for, based on customer need and value to the business. Create business cases for new tools development and influence stakeholders to gain buy-in and deliver change at pace. You will lead the product development to ensure seamless customer/member experience, funnel optimisation based on Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target and drive usage through marketing campaigns. You will be accountable for monitoring Retirement Tools performance and coming up with ideas to optimise the funnel and convert valuable traffic.

In this influential role, you will establish an operating model for the tools you own to drive improvements, deliver commercial benefit and close the gap in customer, member and advisor expectations. You will collaborate with colleagues across propositions, compliance, digital, model risk and marketing to create product plans that meet the needs of users across all channels and be the driving force to prioritise and deliver required changes.

You will be accountable for end to end testing and regular updates to the Retirement Tools to ensure they are compliant and deliver fair customer outcomes.

Where required, you will be asked to support the wider team, take on projects related to Retirement Tools and deputise for Senior Product Manager - Retirement Tools in business forums.

Key responsibilities

  • Use market insights, competitors analysis and our internal data sources such as Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target to understand the needs of customers and members

  • Proactively create tools roadmap, harnessing the insights, focused on mandatory change, commercial benefit, strategic alignment and brilliant customer & members outcomes.

  • In collaboration with the leadership team, establish an operating model and ways of working for maintaining GPS Retirement Tools across all channels.

  • Continuously identify opportunities to simplify, digitalise, improve and manage our tools and deliver effortless customer, member & advisor experiences. Ensuring our tools are easy to use, intuitive and drive strong conversion into action.

  • Use customer & members insights, Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target to optimise funnels, improve journey performance into and from Tools, and prove test and learn culture.

  • Proactively manage risks associated with your tools, including developing a strong relationship with risk, compliance and production support teams to close risks at pace.

  • Work closely with Model Owners, Developers and Model Risk to ensure the underlying models are robust and well maintained. In some cases, you may be the Model Owner and will need to ensure that the Model is fit for purpose, reviewed and documentation in place.

  • Act as Product Owner for work executed through E&Y who act as the team’s actuaries with a key focus on cost and driving value for the business

  • Provide SME support for the assumptions updates and maintenance of product sheets for your tools.

  • Some of our Retirement Tools use 3rd party vendors either for development or for inputs and you will be responsible for working with procurement and vendors to develop and maintain tools.  You will ensure that any new supplier goes through the relevant procurement process and will feed into any relevant service review calls - representing your tools to ensure that there are no issues or risks from the use of that 3rd party vendor.

About you

  • Experience in transforming end-to-end customer/advisor/member journeys with key focus on funnel management, conversion and driving NPS

  • Passion for change with proven track record of managing complex delivery projects through scrums where ownership isn’t always clear and prioritising backlog based on value and strategic alignment

  • Experience in delivering model-first digital products

  • Strong interpersonal and people skills and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders to champion the Tools agenda across the business and gain buy in

  • Ability to collate insights & evidence to support the evolution of the tools performance, this includes competitor and market insights as well as Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target.

  • Clear understanding of UX design and research frameworks and how to practically them to tools and journeys

  • Ability to assign roles and responsibilities within a project and keep stakeholders accountable

  • Track record of proactively managing risks associated with your area, spotting opportunities to set stronger controls and negotiating ownership where required

  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and working under pressure while managing concurrent tasks against deadlines

  • Strong ownership to drive change from inception through to execution

  • Creativity - thinking outside the box to get change delivered in time whilst still meeting customer and regulatory requirements. The ability to identify and envision what the future of digital tools could look like.
