Revenue Manager

A rare opportunity has arisen to join the fun, dynamic team at View Sydney in the capacity of full-time Revenue Manager. We are seeking an experienced Revenue Manager to join our team with immediate start.

Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all revenue functions at our busy hotel. Lead a small Reservations team of two with direct interaction with the sales, marketing, front office and finance teams. 
 

You will be responsible for:

• Achieving budgeted rooms department profit
• Achieving budgeted Gross Operating Profit by ensuring effective control of department expenses and top line revenue
• Achieving ADR and occupancy targets
• Oversight for the yearly budget planning and implementation along with the business plan
• Reviewing forecasts daily by market segment and implementing strategies to achieve overall rooms revenue and market share
• Ascertaining need periods in the business and identify revenue driving concepts
• Maintaining relationships with external stakeholders such as OTA account managers and leverages the relationships to drive visibility and transparency in order to uplift revenue
• Managing tactical and campaign promotions from concept to delivery
• Rate loading, distribution, channel management and RFP participation 
• On boarding new Reservations staff 
• Responsible for all aspects of day to day reservations department operations

Experience & attributes:

• Prior experience in a revenue role in an upscale/upper upscale high-volume hotel with cross exposure to corporate, groups, FIT leisure and conference accommodation for a minimum of 2 years
• Expert proficiency in hotel reservations systems, distribution tools, property management systems, and other systems with a proficiency in Excel, Word, BI and Power Point skills
• Thorough understanding of the Sydney market and the city’s demand drivers
• Thorough understanding of systems & databases such as PMS, Power BI, STR, Lighthouse, Siteminder etc
• Budgeting, forecasting and high analytical skills
• Results oriented & highly driven
• Keen attention to details and strong time-management skills
• A hands-on and positive approach to leadership by example
• Highly developed communication and collaborative skills
• Able to work independently and delegate effectively
