About The Opportunity
We're looking for a proactive Revenue Recovery Officer to join our Revenue Team. In this dynamic role, you'll assist the senior revenue team in recovering overdue rates and charges. You will implement rate payment commitments, manage non-compliant payments, collaborate with Debt Recovery Specialists, and ensure efficient processing of receipts. You'll also provide exceptional customer service, assist in data management projects, and support general administrative tasks. About You
Mandatory:
- Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or Debt Recovery
- Demonstrated experience in a comparable role within a high-volume setting
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, capable of meeting deadlines and adhering to defined workflows and procedures
- Proficient in operating computer systems and databases, including document management systems, workflow management systems, and the MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated client-focused approach, building relationships with internal and external customers while delivering confidential, high-quality administrative support
- Outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written) with a strong emphasis on providing quality customer service
- Ability to handle inquiries tactfully and effectively, resolving or referring issues, and exercising judgment and initiative in situations where procedures are not clearly defined
- Certificate III or higher qualification in business administration, finance or other relevant field
- Proven familiarity with and experience in Council rating activities
