Embark on a meaningful career journey with the Anglican Schools Commission (ASC) as a Risk and Compliance Officer in a full-time ongoing role commencing immediately. As the Risk and Compliance Officer, you'll play a critical role in supporting our schools through robust governance and Compliance.

The ASC, located in Mount Claremont, owns and operates 16 low-fee, co-educational schools in WA, Victoria, and NSW, promoting excellence in education. Your Role in Our Vision
As the Risk and Compliance Officer your expertise in managing risk registers, understanding legislative changes, and enhancing governance is important to our mission. You ensure our schools adhere to the highest standards, facilitating a safe and effective learning environment. Your role is crucial in empowering our educators and staff, thereby directly impacting the quality of education and nurturing the potential of our students.
The Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance Risk and Compliance standards across the organisation in alignment with ASC’s ethos and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate effective governance processes and manage Risk and Compliance obligations.
- Maintain registers, statutory records, and ensure appropriate document retention.
- Assist in regulatory compliance and reporting, including preparation and lodgement of regulatory returns.
- Support the Director of Risk and Compliance in maintaining risk registers.
- Research legislative changes and develop compliance strategies.
About You
- Support the ASC's Vision, Core Purpose, Values, and Strategic Direction.
- Have relevant qualifications in Risk and Compliance (e.g., Certificate IV in Compliance and Risk Management or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in a governance, risk, and Compliance role, preferably within an educational or similar context.
- Possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
- An ability to work collaboratively and independently, handling sensitive information confidentially.
- Willingness to contribute actively to the work of the ASC, including travel to ASC schools as required.
