About this opportunity
The Risk and Governance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the provision of high-quality relationship-based care to our clients. This position will focus on developing and implementing a risk-based approach to maintaining and improving the quality of care, and implementing quality improvement initiatives within the organisation that aligns with the Aged Care Reforms.
- Provide strategic leadership on risk management system, internal audits, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor, interpret and advise on relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and changes.
- Lead the implementation of Aged Care Reforms within the organisation.
- Oversee all internal quality audits, QCABS and CABS, and Governing Body reporting and support the reporting of Risk and compliance topics to various forums.
- Monitor incident data, complaints data and feedback data within the network. Analyse this data to identify trends, areas for improvement and potential risks.
- Design and implement governance frameworks
- Provide training, education and support to our network around aged care reforms, legislative changes and standards.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in a risk, quality or governance role within the aged care sector
- A comprehensive understanding of the requirements to provide services in accordance with the Aged Care Act, including the Aged care legislation, Aged Care Standards and the national aged care reform agenda.
- Qualifications in aged care, nursing, social work, allied health, or another professional care-related discipline would be advantageous
- Strong understanding and experience in navigating Government portals My Aged Care, PRODA and Services Australia
- Able to travel throughout Australia
