The role:
The Risk Control Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of a best-practice risk model in Product and Claims, fostering continuous improvement and effective control assurance. You will pinpoint opportunities for enhancing risk and business outcomes while recommending practical solutions for addressing identified risks and issues within major change initiatives in these divisions.

Accountabilities:
- First-line risk management support. Ensuring there is E2E management of the risk and control environment to foster a strong risk culture.
- Assist in incident management, including breach assessment.
- Liaising with Legal and Regulatory departments regarding regulatory changes impacting the divisions.
- Proactively identify emerging risks and enhance internal processes.
- Monitoring and supporting audit actions and attestations.
- Provide risk governance support to the Product, Risk, and Governance team, including comprehensive reporting on risks, controls, incidents, issues, and control self-assessment activities.
Skills, knowledge and qualifications:
- 5+ years of General Insurance product/ portfolio management, underwriting and/or claim experience; experience with Motor, Travel or Domestic property insurance products will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience with management of compliance and regulatory matters.
- Knowledge and experience with short-tail insurance product(s), underwriting and rating methods, systems and procedures - including drivers and levers of profitable growth.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory regimes, compliance and legislation covering insurance – including regulatory change.
- Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations to operate in the FSR environment.
