Risk Reporting Analyst

Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Risk Reporting Analyst to join the QBE Insurance team. As a key member of the Technical Risk Team, you will be responsible for performing various activities to support the Risk team in execution of the risk management program including; Designing, implementing and continuously improving dashboards across QBE’s material risk classes, as well as implementing analytical methodologies to quantify and monitor risk across all risk classes and business functions, to enable more informed risk partnering
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Comply with QBE policies and documentation of key processes to ensure QBE and its division comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, adhere to all relevant standards and good practice, as well as meet all internal reporting requirements
  • Support a robust second line of defence capability by providing relevant and timely risk information to risk managers to enable effective challenge of the 1st line
  • Support with timely response to ad-hoc queries from Group Risk and the business
  • Drove continuous improvement processes within the provision of high-quality risk analytics/dashboards
  • Support our ‘second line of defence’ role by monitoring and analysing business unit risk management data on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Development, maintenance and governance of risk data for dashboards and existing manual processes
  • Development of dashboards for relevant Risk Reporting across QBE material risk classes
  • Research and preparation of data for 2nd line challenge during business unit risk and control assessments
  • Assist with pre-emptive or early warning detection of major or systematic risk problems including development and monitoring of Key Risk indicators
About you
You are a well-versed Analyst in Technical Risk Analytics with demonstrated success and experience within an insurance risk management role in the Financial/Insurance Services industry. You have strong communication skills both written and verbal, and are familiar with Risk and Compliance processes and knowledge of FSA/local regulators’ requirements for insurers and insurance intermediation. In addition to this, you have strong influencing skills and developing relationships with key stakeholders, with an ability to manage and resolve conflict, have well developed analytical skills and ability to identify trends in data, as well as are familiar with visualization tools such as; Tableau and Power BI, and coding languages such as; SQL or Python.
