About the role of River Cruise Consultant – AU/NZ
The River Cruise Consultant – AU/NZ is responsible for inbound and outbound sales calls to the travel trade and direct consumers. They are responsible for delivering a high level of customer service to exceed all travel trade and direct customer expectations wherever possible.
Your day will vary, but will include a combination of the following:
- Handling incoming reservations calls by answering enquiries, and upselling stateroom categories and different cruise options, regions and durations.
- Creating and managing flights to match the guest’s itinerary.
- Creating and managing group and charter reservations.
- Conducting targeted sales phone calls to the travel trade to promote AmaWaterways products and services and hold online training webinars where possible.
- Following up on all requests and complaints.
- Representing AmaWaterways at travel partner and consumer events where necessary.
- Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge.

About You
Our next River Cruise Consultant will have:
- 5 years’ experience working with the travel trade and direct customers, or other relevant experience.
- A strong understanding of the travel industry.
- An exceptional phone manner and an unwavering approach to the highest customer service standards.
- Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build, develop and nurture strong stakeholder relationships.
- Relevant computer skills including: reservations and phone software; and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Diploma in Business or another related field, or other tertiary qualification.
