The Project
CPB Contractors, as part of a joint venture with United Group, has been selected to deliver the surface civil and alignment works for the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport rail link between Orchard Hills and the new Western Sydney Airport Station.
This $600M project encompass the civil infrastructure necessary for the construction of the track which includes:
- 3.4 kms of elevated viaduct at Orchard Hills and Luddenham
- 6.7kms of earthworks for track formation
- A 190M long rail bridge over the new M12 motorway
- A 20m long bridge within the Airport
- Temporary and permanent roads
- Bulk Earthworks for the stabling and maintenance facility site.
The opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Safety Advisor to support the SCAW package based in Western Sydney, NSW. As a Safety Advisor, you will support the project in achieving optimum safety outcomes. This opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your previous success, learnings and knowledge, gained from a successful health and safety career, whilst mentoring staff and sub-contractors to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Minimum requirements for this role include:
- Experience working on construction projects in a safety-related position - ideally in civil or rail
- High level of skill in conducting and interpreting audits and reviews
- High level of skill and experience in developing, analysing and reporting on complex project performance
- Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills
- Capability and experience in delivering training in high-risk activities such as working at heights, confined space, and rescue training
- The ability to engage with subcontractors, and to communicate with people at all levels to ensure safety and compliance in relation to
You will need to be self-motivated, well organised and committed to the highest possible work standards. You will also have the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and subcontractors.
