With a fleet of 40 aircraft, serving some of the most remote communities in the country, Chartair is a leading Northern Territory general aviation company operating out of bases in Darwin, Alice Springs, and Katherine.
We are seeking a full-time person to join our management team in Darwin as the Safety and Quality Manager to perform the following:
- Provide oversight of the Safety and Quality functions of Chartair
- CASA Approved Safety Manager for Part 119 Air Transport Operations
- CASA Approved Safety and Quality Manager for Part 145 Maintenance Organisation
- CASA Approved Quality Manager for Part 42 CAMO
- CASA Liaison on all matters concerning Safety and Quality
- Issue and revoke certification authorisations for the AMO
- Maintain the Safety and Quality management systems
- Manage WH&S, Drug and Alcohol and Fitness for duty processes
- Promote safety awareness, just culture and continuous improvement policies and processes.
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Relevant safety management experience in the conduct or management of air operations
- Knowledge of CASR Part 119
- Knowledge of CASR Part 145 and Part 145 MOS
- Knowledge of CASR Part 42 and Part 42 MOS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality management system activities
- Formal qualifications in Quality Management (Lead Auditor minimum)
- Formal accident and investigation qualification
- Specialised training or experience in Human factors, TEM, CRM, FRMS.
- Sound understanding of WHS
- Ability to use Microsoft office suite
- Ability to disseminate information to all relevant parties
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing at a high level
- Ability to liaise and work harmoniously with employees, supervisors and managers
- Ability to relate at all levels, both inside and outside the organisation
- Ability to promote safety awareness and positive safety culture.
- Good analytical skills
- Leadership skills and authoritative approach
- Ability to hold an ASIC
