As the Team Leader Community Safety and Parking you will lead a team of over 20 Community Safety officers, parking officers and CCTV operators to deliver safe and accessible community areas and facilities for the community and visitors to the City of Fremantle.
The successful applicant will have well-honed people skills and a keen commitment to serving and protecting the community. Critical to this, will be a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of front-line officers who, at times, are faced with challenging situations. - Leading and managing the performance of the Community Safety and Parking Team
- Ensuring the effective regulation of the Dog Act 1976, the City’s Cat Management Local Law 2020, the City’s Parking Local Law 2021 and other relevant legislation
- Applying effective people, financial, project and change management methods to ensure that all activities and services meet the organisation’s expectations in terms of service delivery, customer satisfaction and budget.
- Create and manage Local Emergency Management Arrangements for the City of Fremantle in accordance with the Emergency Management Act 2005.
- Provide an afterhours service for the City of Fremantle to assist Hazard Management Agencies (DFES, WAPOL, SJA).
