Grow your career with a global retailer as a Safety Coordinator (WHS) within our Work, Health, and Safety team at ALDI Australia, based in Regency Park. This is a full-time permanent position.

In this role, you will join a team that stands as the cornerstone of ALDI's commitment to safety. Our Workplace Safety and Health team does more than just abide by rules and regulations; we create them, prioritising the well-being of our employees above all else. Our responsibilities range from developing and implementing Health and Safety policies to identifying and mitigating potential risks, ensuring that our workers operate in a safe, healthy environment each and every day.

What does the role look like? 

• Provide technical guidance and advice on Health and Safety matters by interpreting legislative requirements
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, periodic audits and site visits, and develop Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) as directed
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders through consultation, training, and development
• Respond to WHS incidents for the region, and actively manage your area of responsibility within the team by using initiative, and suggesting ways of improving systems for greater efficiency
• Assist in the maintenance and periodic review of the WHS Management system, Safety Online and the Contractor Management System
• Analyse and report on safety data to monitor and review performance against WHS KPIs and targets
• Assist with injury management activities if required.

What do we need from you?

• Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in WHS with detailed knowledge of WHS requirements, legislation and best practice
• Team focussed with a solutions-focused approach and ability to collaborate and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
• Open communication style with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and with direction
• Completion of Certificate IV in WHS (minimum) highly regarded
• Completion of ICAM training highly regarded
• Injury management experience, or a willingness to learn, highly regarded
• Experience working with WHS IT reporting and management systems - particularly, SolvInjury and/or SafetyOnline.
