About the role:
The Safety, Health and Wellbeing Advisor partners with Restaurant Managers and Area Managers to drive a safety culture across ANZ. Focused primarily on safety, incident investigations, risk assessments, safety audits and restaurant training. Followed by injury management, WorkCover, advising and supporting regional People Partners with non-work-related injuries and the implementation of wellbeing strategies.
Work in collaboration with restaurants, regional field teams and Central Support to provide coaching and guidance on safety, health and wellbeing issues in accordance with WHS legislation and best practice.
Regularly reviewing workplace health and safety risks and making recommendations to minimise risk taking into consideration against the hierarchy of controls wherever practicable.
Championing health and wellbeing programs, supporting with management of Workcover injuries and RTW planning / implementation including liaison with injured Nandocas, Managers, treating providers and insurers.
Support restaurants to investigate incidents and hazards and lead investigations of serious /and or complex incidents including identifying causal factors, event learnings and recommendations identifying corrective actions.
Develop safety action plan for restaurants including completing safety audits, providing coaching and support with safety activities.
Facilitate training on safety, health and wellbeing including attending Regional Restaurant conferences.
Maintaining Nando’s Injury Management system (DoneSafe), file notes, medical certificates, policy reviews, safety procedures and SOPs.
Undertake risk assessments and provide technical and subject matter expertise in the development and management of risk including physical and psychosocial hazards, to identify critical risks, risk controls and mitigation strategies.
Complete periodic reporting from DoneSafe including trend analysis, compliance reporting.
What you will bring:
Certificate IV or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Allied Health Qualification or significant experience in a similar multi-site role.
Knowledge of, and ability to, interpret WHS legislation, Workcover Legislation policies, and procedures.
Ability to complete risk assessments, lead incident investigations and implement preventative strategies to minimise WHS risks in the workplace.
Experience working in complex multi-site organisation, which is fast-paced and dynamic.
Strong relationship building skills with an ability to build rapport at all levels within the organisation and externally.
Strong ability to coach and influence outcomes.

This is a full-time permanent role, based in our funky office in Abbotsford with flexible work arrangements and great coffee nearby. Interstate and NZ travel will be required quarterly.
