Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Safety Officer who will provide leadership, advice and governance of WHS Management systems within the workplace.
The Role
Proactive leadership across the company on QHSE
Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System complies with the requirements of the OFSC, AS/NZ 4801, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
Ensure compliance with Workplace Health Safety and Environmental legislation, Regulations, Standards and Codes of Practice
Implement and provide ongoing support for procedures and processes across all projects
Identify and promote best practice in relation to QHSE compliance and management
Ensure ongoing certification
Ensure company policies are implemented and updated
Contribute positively to improve morale within the company
Provide information and knowledge sharing, including the training of members of staff.
Promote a safety positive work ethic and culture
Desired Experience
Minimum Cert IV in WHS
1+ years of WHS experience within construction
Strong understanding of latest OH&S legislation
Excellent communication & problem solving skills
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Internal auditor training (preferable)
Car Licence
