Support and oversee safety and well-being efforts for all levels of site management. Assist in implementing the organisation's Safety and Wellbeing strategy at two locations. Collaborate with the Safety and Wellbeing Manager, Risk and Compliance Team, and operational teams to identify and address business safety and well-being needs.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to the formulation and upkeep of the organisation's Safety & Wellbeing strategy and annual plan.
- Implement strategies aimed at decreasing the frequency and cost of workplace injuries.
- Supervise, guide, and support team members in applying the Safety Management System across the organisation's breeding facility.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to enhance safety, reduce injuries, and optimize S&W performance throughout the breeding facility.
- Provide advice to develop and maintain continuous improvement in S&W within the organisation.
- Support in addressing regulatory issues, including the closure of improvement notices or follow-up requirements.
- Co-chair the Safety and Wellbeing Committee Meetings alongside the Site S&W Coordinator.
- Assist in preparing, completing, and following up on S&W support during internal and external safety audits.
- Attend weekly team S&W Meetings and represent the organisation in Site S&W matters when the S&W Manager is absent.
- Monitor and address new or revised S&W laws, regulations, and standards.
- Contribute to developing innovative solutions to minimize safety legal compliance risks for the organisation.
- Provide analysis and expertise to manage critical S&W risks for the business.
- Identify major regulatory issues and offer advice and oversight to relevant parties within the organisation.
- Provide oversight and direction for the implementation (and at times development) of S&W-related training.
- Attend operational leadership meetings as required.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Tertiary qualifications in Safety & Wellbeing and/or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety role.
- Demonstrated analytical prowess, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in report preparation.
- Effective establishment and maintenance of relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborative approach in working across various business units to accomplish shared objectives.
- Readiness to invest additional hours when necessary.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Vic S&W Legislation, Australian Standards, and relevant Codes of Practice, with experience in SHE Management Systems and principles, and familiarity with SHE Legislation in applicable jurisdictions.
- Food manufacturing experience is highly valued.
