About the role...
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a critical role at Point of Rental, responsible for sales to new and existing customers across our suite of products. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the SDR is a key person in our efforts to win new customers and to grow our customer base. The role requires drive, initiative and determination in prospecting and qualifying opportunities. Solid product-knowledge and understanding of our product’s practical applications are imperative.
The SDR is a highly organised and energetic self-starter who loves helping people, solving problems and building relationships. Skilled in handling a wide range of personalities and business environments, the SDR is a key representative of our brand and our products.
Essential Functions
- Prospects and generates sales leads and opportunities.
- Identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads into the sales pipeline.
- Prospects > Outbound sales activity including but not limited to research, calls, emails, networking.
- Customers > Outbound sales and information activity including “soft” sales and awareness campaigns.
- Qualifying prospect and customer opportunities for Sales Team and Customer Success Team.
- Sets and coordinates opportunity meetings and follow-ups.
- Keeps management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports.
- Maintains accurate SalesForce records on all activities.

- Build selling skills and product/industry knowledge.
- Develop influence in mid to late-stage selling.
- Enhance Point of Rental Product knowledge.
- Hone discovery and presentation skills.
- Develop an enriched understanding of sales process.
- Remains knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in the Point-of-Rental suite and other internal systems.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m.
