The Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Industrial Division, this is a multi-faceted role in a fast-paced environment that requires superior customer service and communication skills, attention to detail, with the ability to drive sales. This is not an office-based role except for a weekly Sales & Operational Meeting. Duties include:
- Maintain and cultivate effective business relationships
- Research market trends including competitors’ goods and services and investigate new product opportunities
- On board and develop new customer base
- Enthusiastically communicate company sales & promotions
- Preparation of weekly sales reports / sales revenue
- Handling and researching customer enquiries
- Assist Lab staff with analytical testing & solution evaluation.
- Travel
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Previous Sales and Service experience in the following markets, Aviation, Military, Surface coating (galvanizing and paint coatings), Mining chemicals including dust suppressants, or Food & Beverage sector is essential
- Technical chemical background is preferred
- Works cohesively with the Production & Customer Service Teams to ensure that customer expectations are met and exceeded
- Embrace challenges with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Willingness to learn and sell to unfamiliar markets
- Ability to go above and beyond to ensure a positive customer experience
- Excellent communication with active listening skills
- Computer literacy
- Reliable and punctual self-starter who can work autonomously and as part of a team
