Role Overview: As a Sales Engineer specializing in VPPs, Microgrids, and Battery Solutions, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our mission forward. You will focus on developing and formulating commercially focused, technically feasible solutions within the realm of Distributed Energy Resources (DER), to propel the businesses growth aspirations. You'll delve into solar designs, renewable energy connection applications, and advanced energy solutions, ensuring our offerings meet both technical and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft commercially viable technical solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Develop technical designs and scopes of work for Solar PV systems, inclusive of BESS, for Commercial & Industrial applications.
- Prepare and lodge distributor connection applications.
- Utilize software such as Helioscope, Homer Grid, PVSyst for load modeling and sizing of solar and battery systems.
- Review and approve installer-issued technical designs and documentation.
- Collaborate with bid management and business development teams for tender submissions.
- Provide technical expertise throughout the sales process, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Gather customer feedback to drive product improvements.
- Sales Growth of VPP, microgrid, and battery solutions.
- Proposal accuracy and effectiveness.
- Efficient securing of approvals for embedded generation connections.
- Designing robust, cost, and performance-optimized technical solutions.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- CEC accredited designer.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of Solar PPA systems and commercial models.
- Previous experience in technical sales related to solar, VPPs, or battery solutions is desirable.
- Competency in CRM preferred.
- Driver's License required.
- Occasional travel to regional Victoria and Interstate.
