Job role and expectations:
This role requires an experienced sales professional with a “bigger picture” outlook, that also has the ability to delve into the technical detail to fully understand the automation safety market to support both existing and new customers for defined Australia market along with using expertise to support in our APAC region. Within the role, you will have full KPI (scorecard) responsibility and support across the business to have complete autonomy to make change and drive your own business plans. The proactive candidate, with a creative mindset and “can do” attitude will develop new approaches to increase share of wallet within the market with the ability to communicate both effectively internally and externally to ensure projects are executed efficiently and profit is maximised for the business
Your responsibilities
Execute quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily strategies / initiatives to hit development, sales and profitability targets in region.
- Meeting with Customers quarterly, monthly, weekly to have strategy reviews / initiatives to hit sales and profitability
- Converting leads and prospects into opportunities, developing existing customer base to increase market share.
- Develop and lead process for major infrastructure projects to win tenders and strengthen relationships within the key areas where Fortress operates.
- Develop strong relationships with the leadership and key decision makers within our major customers so that you become valued as a trusted partner with safety expertise.
- Understand and interpret our customer’s applications pain points and challenges to support them in selecting the right safety solution.
- Share application and industry specific solutions with sales managers globally, to support application replication.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the regional market and competitive landscape to then create a specific market strategy by region, with key industries and customers identified.
- Drive the regional strategy by devising a detailed plan with key milestones to grow regional sales effectively and efficiently using marketing, product, and technical teams as well as channel partners.
- Research prospective key accounts in target markets, pursue leads and open doors to finally follow through to a successful agreement.
- Support our channel partners within the region and devise a plan to support ongoing and new projects working with to achieve 20% Growth YOY.
- Review successful projects that Fortress has executed across the globe and replicate to target specific industries and customers within your region.
- Develop relationships with OEMs to understand how we can influence their product choice, generating a partnership approach to make us the first choice for their guarding solutions.
- Proactively attend local trade shows, arrange, and lead customer engagement sessions and support marketing events.
- Mandatory use of CRM (Salesforce) to maximise opportunities, manage pipeline and build customer engagement is mandatory.
- Meeting with customers across region, with expected 70% of time with the customer, 30% split of planning, but not limited too.
- We expect that visits per week would be 10+ but not limited too.
- Use skills and expertise to support Australia regions, with customer visits, application replication and technical specifications.
- Has an understanding of Safety Standards and how use, A,B and C type standards to create a trusting relationship with the customer (Training will be provided).
