AIR CHANGE AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is looking to recruit a Senior Sales Engineer / Manager for its Victorian Office located in Melbourne.
This is an opportunity to join a company that has been recognised and awarded by the air conditioning industry for its technical skills and knowledge and innovative product design.
In this position you report to both the General Manager of Operations and the Group Managing Director.
A suitable salary will be negotiated to attract the right candidate.
To manage and increase sales of Air Change Group air conditioning and ventilation products in Victoria. This includes:
- Creating/building relationships with new and existing customers;
- Developing and improving both new and existing sales/marketing tools;
- Selecting products and creating innovative solutions to satisfy customer needs; and
- Give technical support during the design, implementation and commissioning process.
Qualifications/Experience/Technical Competency
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma;
- A solid understanding of psychrometric principals; and
- 3-5 Years minimum HVAC industry experience particularly in the selection, application and operation of chilled and hot water systems and direct refrigerant exchange heating and cooling devices.
You may have experience as a Engineering Consultant, mechanical contractor or a background in HVAC sales.
In addition to your technical skills, you will be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency and have excellent analytical skills, computer literacy, and proficiency in both verbal and written English communication.
Your sales responsibilities will include;
- Generation of new sales enquiries by:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with Building Services & Consulting Engineers, HVAC Contractors and other key clients and end users;
- Email and phone sales;
- Attending industry events such as ARBS, AIRAH etc; and
- Providing technical support and commissioning assistance for existing customers
- Technical support and pricing during the design process:
- Detailed design and selection of products and solutions to suit applications;
- Pricing and issuing quotations;
- Estimation and presentation of cost savings that may be made by client;
- Technical contact with others in the design process (other engineers and users);
- Demonstration of the key competitive advantages of recommended products; and
- Pricing and Costing assistance of special construct units
3 Lead/Quote tracking and Reporting/Delivery Coordination
- Following up quotes & leads;
- Production planning and project timing to coordinate deliveries: and
- Sales forecasting and budgeting.
The ideal candidate will feel comfortable in their ability to provide technical support and assistance during the commissioning and warranty periods by:
- Attending site from time to time to assist with commissioning and set up; and
- Assisting with fault diagnosis and coordination of repairs with Warranty Agents and personnel.
In this role you will be ably supported by factory engineers and technicians who can assist using remote monitoring and controls equipment.
