Capital Building Contractors, a boutique builder known for their second storey extensions and renovation projects and are seeking the services & have an opportunity of an experienced Sales Estimator to join the team.
We are currently seeking an experienced estimator who not only brings a passion for their role but also possesses a strong commitment to coaching and mentoring their team, fostering the professional growth and enjoys working in a small team environment.
Job Role:
The Sales Estimator is a key leadership role responsible for meeting sales targets by building relationships with team members, potential clients (from concept design stage through to contracts) and keeping on top of price increases
- You will be required to manage 3 sales consultants
- Check sales consultants costings & quotes are accurate
- Keep costing recipe up to date with current changes and price increases
- Run and manage google ads & SEO
- Collaborate with Operations Manager to streamline estimating workflow aligned with agreed timelines and client expectations.
- Rectify errors in sales and production estimates, ensuring accuracy.
- Maintain Variation Price book, updating pricing for materials and trade in the estimating system.
- Providing accurate pricing for contracts and variations including appropriate margin considerations
- Analyse project documentation to determine if all elements are included
- Maintain organised files and appropriate documentation of completed work
- Support different areas of the business (including but not limited to) the customer’s requirements (at sales stage) and to integrate options and variations required to complete contract quotation’s (including amendments when required), colour selection variations, client changes and post and pre contract variations
- Sales Estimating
- Current working knowledge of the Residential Building Code and Australian Standards (BCA) / (NCC) required
- Liaise with sales to resolve pricing issues or adjust to meet budget, modelling different mark-up scenarios to ensure the project fits the clients brief as closely as possible.
- Provide reports and workflow documentation as appropriate
- Creation of pre-contract variation pricing and preparation of scope of works
- Appraisal of external reports to assist you in costing each project
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in a Customer relationship "customer first" approach,
- High organization skills and the ability to manage a portfolio of clients
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism with confidence
- Analytical skills and competency reading architectural plans, engineering and soil reports
- Strong numerical skills, high attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Exceptional communicator & Team Player
- Ability to proactively problem solve and troubleshoot
- Experience in pricing double storey custom/bespoke extensions
- Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain strong relationships
- Knowledge of excel is a must
- Attention to detail is a must in this role
- Passionate about your work ethic with a positive and energetic attitude
- Clerical Tasks, Computer Skills & Professional phone manner
- Experience in the building industry
- Happy to work in a small team environment and a can-do attitude
