The Langham Global Sales Office in Australia is now recruiting for the role of Sales Executive - International MICE
Reporting to the Director of Sales, this position is an integral part of the team looking after the commercial success and achieving your MICE targets for the international hotels (those outside Australia) of Langham Hospitality Group.

About the Role
- Key focus on new business development and delivering MICE revenue to the group, in particular to the large, international hotels.
- Act as a key liaison between the international hotels and the Australian MICE market, including but not limited to third parties, PCOs, DMCs, tourist boards and Corporate direct bookers.
- Work in concert with Revenue Management teams to quote and convert MICE inquiries with a view to maximising the revenue opportunity.
- Deliver on strategies and manage allocated LHG MICE accounts. Continually target prospect accounts and set acquisition strategies with a view to moving market share from competitor hotels.
- Assist in completing overall account strategy plans and monthly action plans for all allocated accounts with potential for LHG properties.
- Assist in compiling GSO Sydney Weekly Flash report to all LHG. stakeholders showcasing productivity and achievements in the MICE segment.
- Assist in compiling “GSO Big 5” plan with quarterly updates to ensure all activities are measured via the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Reasonable, Timely) metric · Participate and assist in overall sales activities in the region including Sales Missions, Sales Blitzes, Trade Shows, organize sales trips for hotels and undertake sales trips to key feeder markets in the region as required.
Work with other industry partners (tourist boards, airlines, etc.) to support business objectives
- Manage own portfolio of key accounts as required and entertain key contacts of existing and potential accounts
- Maximize opportunities with familiarization trips and site inspections and all other customer interaction.
Skills & Experience
Technical
- At least 3 years of work experience in similar sales role
- A collaborative team player who focuses on commercial success, with particular focus on new business development
- Relevant hotel or hospitality experience within a similar organisation is required
- Ability to travel locally and internationally.
Knowledge
Knowledge and connections in the Australian MICE market
- Understanding of industry systems, procedures and best practices
