The Client
Our client is a privately owned Australian company whose core business involves the national distribution of construction equipment and trucks. Due to continued growth they are adding a Sales Manager to their team.
The Role
Reporting to the State Manager, the Sales Manager takes a highly visible lead role in the pursuit of new sales opportunities and the ongoing development of relationships with existing clients, ensuring that the daily sales and marketing business related activities are contributing to the achievement of short and long term profit objectives.
In conjunction with the State Manager, this role will help co-ordinate the development and implementation of State marketing and sales plans consistent with the company’s overall sales and marketing strategy.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you must have an appropriate tertiary qualification in a relevant business related discipline or trade certification. A proven track record in sales management and marketing gained in a hands-on operational environment is expected as well as 3-6 years experience in management gained in a mid-sized company with accountability for running line aspects of the sales and marketing operations.
