The Langham Global Sales Office in Australia is now recruiting for the role of Sales Manager – Luxury and Entertainment
Reporting to the Director of Sales, this position is an integral part of the team looking after Luxury and Entertainment accounts for Langham Hospitality Group representing all our hotels globally.

About the Role
- Achieve targets for Luxury & Entertainment agencies and accounts
- Assist in leading strategies and directing sales efforts for LHG’s Luxury & Entertainment agencies and accounts based out of Australia & New Zealand
- Drive LHG’s own luxury program ‘Couture’ out of Australia & New Zealand
- Manage own portfolio of key agencies and accounts including site inspections, entertainment etc
- Target prospect agencies and develop strategies to drive business to LHG Hotels
- Work with the team to drive Luxury & Entertainment activities in the region including sales missions, sales blitzes, tradeshows, organize sales trips for hotels and undertaking sales trips to key feeder markets in the region as required
- Organise client famils to key hotels
- Work with other industry partners (tourist boards, airlines, etc.) to support business objectives
- Assist with budget submissions
- Actively work with travel agents to quote and help convert all inquiries in line with budget revenue
- Maintain regular contact with all LHG Global Sales Offices and relevant hotels
- Understand intricacies of global markets, with a particular focus on Key Hotels as directed
Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in a luxury hotel or Global Sales environment or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- A team player who focuses on organizational success and always has an entrepreneurial approach to business development
- A good communicator working with best practices and innovative ideas
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills to win business and to sustain continuous growth
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to communicate effectively
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Awareness and sensitivity to the concept of Luxury and quality
- Able to link the value of colleagues, external guests and business results
- Ability to align business objectives with organizational development strategies
- Sound knowledge of MS office, Opera or another PMS and Delphi
- Physical demands - This position is both sedentary and based 'on the road'. International and domestic travel will be required on occasion.
