About the role:
As our Sales & Operations Manager for PTC Phone Tech & Comm you will be at the forefront of propelling our retail business unit forward. This role calls for a strategic thinker who can inspire teams, elevate customer interactions, and achieve overarching business objectives. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Sales & Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our retail endeavours. You will not be tied to a desk in the office all week. You will be able to affect real change and inspire the retail division to achieve, grow and develop. You will inspire through your people leadership, sales cycle skills and knowledge and develop a high performing, dynamic sales team.

As the Sales and Operations Manager, you will further strengthen our retail business unit.
Role responsibilities:
Sales Leadership
Formulate and execute sales strategies that align with our company values and goals.
Lead the charge in driving sales growth through effective team management and territorial strategies.
Harness sales data insights to uncover trends and areas for improvement.
Drive strategic efforts to enhance three core performance indicators: Staff Effectiveness, Sales Metrics, and Inventory Management, with a primary focus on increasing PAW (Profit After Wage).
Formulate and execute sales initiatives targeting improvements in average transaction value, basket size, and regional sales objectives.
Continuously monitor sales KPIs at the store level, meticulously diagnosing causes for underperformance, and devising actionable solutions.
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment of sales efforts with promotional campaigns.
Driving the team from the frontline, understand the challenges and opportunities the team face on a daily basis.
Operational Excellence
Oversee day-to-day retail operations to ensure seamless and efficient processes.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimise inventory, procurement, and logistics.
Infuse operational best practices to enhance performance and elevate customer satisfaction.
Conduct regular inventory audits to synchronize stock levels with sales forecasts and customer demand.
Frequently visit stores, collaborating with Area and Store Leaders to pinpoint, assess, and address operational inefficiencies.
Monitor and maintain store layouts and visual merchandising standards to maximise sales potential.
Team Empowerment
Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for the retail sales and operations teams.
Foster close collaboration with HR and Area Managers to create and maintain continuous staff training and performance evaluation initiatives.
Lead a team comprising of 3 Area Managers and 1 State Manager to synchronise sales and operational objectives within the retail division.
Oversee the Repair Manager to guarantee alignment of technical skillset and repair-related sales with corporate goals.
Enhance our robust performance review system encompassing bi-monthly staff assessments and productive feedback sessions.
Foster a culture of collaboration, trust, and teamwork in alignment with our company values.
Set well-defined performance expectations and provide consistent feedback to team members.
Develop training programs to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills among staff.
Customer Centricity
Elevate customer experiences by ensuring product availability and exceptional service.
Address customer inquiries and concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
Continuously refine processes to exceed customer expectations.
Implement customer feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.
Strategic Planning
Contribute actively to shaping the retail business unit's strategic plans and milestones.
Collaborate closely with senior leadership to harmonise sales and operations endeavours with overall business objectives.
Keep a vigilant eye on market trends and competitor activities to seize opportunities and navigate challenges.
Propose innovative ideas to enhance the retail business's competitive edge.

To be successful for this role, you will have:
Possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Retail Management, or a related field (or possess equivalent experience).
Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese is advantageous, though not a prerequisite.
Dynamic Leadership in Retail Operations, showcasing a proven track record of spearheading sales and staff operations within a multifaceted retail environment, spanning multiple stores and areas, and driving tangible results that align with company values and objectives.
Expertise in leveraging data analytics tools to conduct thorough analysis of sales metrics, staff performance, and inventory management.
Display adept leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and cultivate teams.
Showcase strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
Possess excellent communication skills and thrive in cross-departmental collaborations.
Demonstrate proficiency in utilising relevant software and tools for retail sales and operations management.
