We are an Australia wide gardening wholesale company based in Brendale on the north side of Brisbane who are looking for an experienced full-time sales person to join our sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the independent sales team leader and senior company management to support and grow sales in the grocery, variety, hardware and independent nursery sectors.
Main Duties
Accounts:
• Working with customers to improve and diversify existing product ranging
• Identifying and creating new business opportunities
• Managing a large territory including travel to regional areas
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
Other Areas of Responsibility:
• Helping develop new product ranges with a particular focus in the area of garden decor
• Analysing market and online trends
• Monitor and evaluate competitors’ activities
• Helping other members of the sales team with new product ideas and ranging opportunities
• Working as part of the overall sales team to support large existing customers
• Presenting product training and information as required
• Working as part of a team to manage consumer QC issues
The successful applicant will need to meet the following criteria.
Skills Required
Prior experience working with customers in the gardening and hardware industry – general knowledge and a passion for gardening would be an advantage
An ability to understand changing trends in the sector
Strong customer focused relationship management abilities and familiarity with CRM platforms
Be flexible and prepared for changes to workload daily
Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
A good team attitude and a commitment to work hard to grow the customer base
Ability to complete tasks efficiently and work autonomously
This is a full-time salaried position and the successful applicant must be willing to work the hours required to complete the job effectively. This may include occasional weekend and night work.
An open driver’s licence is required
