Rapid Pacific Group are creating a new “Sales Representative / Sales Estimator” position within our ever-growing business. Our aim is to improve our direct customer service and maintain our existing long term customer base, while also focusing on maintaining our professional business image within the wider engineering and construction industries.
All candidates must be able to confidently pursue new business leads, both in person and remotely via email or phone. Must be self-motivated with the ability to forward plan sales trips and have the ability to provide written reports from a site meeting and liaise with our sales and production teams when necessary. This is required for our business to hone our ability to provide what our customers require individually, not just as a whole.
At least 50% of the position will be internal sales and estimating (quoting fabricated jobs). Therefore, the ability to read and understand steel fabrication drawings, marking plans and assembly drawings would be advantageous. Past sales experience is necessary.
Computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams etc) and or any inventory control systems is necessary.
A trade qualification within the manufacturing industry is also advantageous, due to the manufacturing services offered to our customers. Current services provided by Rapid Pacific Group consist of the following.
- Fabricated bar line grating and step treads.
- Fabricated handrail assemblies with ball type stanchion.
- Custom fabricated ball type stanchions.
- CNC mandrel bent spools. (the most extensive mandrel bending compacity in Nth QLD)
- Custom made and stock perforated sheet. (out of our Melbourne based facility)
- Stock expanded mesh.
Personal use company vehicle (currently 2022 LVD dual cab), fuel card, laptop, mobile phone provided. All expenses when traveling (Food, accommodation etc) will be covered.

Salary to be discussed and a basic attendance allowance does also apply to this position.
