Sales Representative – External 

(Melbourne, VIC)

Rydell Beltech (part of the Ammega Group) is a global market leader in the design, manufacturing, fabrication and servicing of high-quality, high-performance process and conveyor belts, available today in 150 countries around the world.

We are seeking a new sales team member who is self-motivated, customer focussed, and results driven to join our dynamic, friendly and fast paced team. The full time opportunity to be a part of the huge growth plan managing established and new portfolios (Mon - Fri, 8.30am – 5.00pm) includes a fully maintained company vehicle, competitive remuneration and on the job product training.

Key responsibilities:

  • Generating leads.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Negotiating all sales transactions with prospective and current customer’s base.
  • Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports – Salesforce.
  • Preparing quotes and answering customer queries.
  • Understanding and promoting company programs.
  • Obtaining deposits or full payments for cash sale transactions.
  • Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
  • Visiting customers and potential customers.
  • Assess local and regional business opportunities.
  • Actively maintain industry and market competitor knowledge.
  • Network via key associations and events.

Key requirements for the role:

  • Customer relationships and networking ability.
  • Previous sales experience in related fields.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written).        
  • Professional demeanour.
  • Customer focused and flexible to customer needs.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and follow through.
  • Understanding the financial/sales aspects of business (ie. KPI’s/targets/expense control).
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Results focussed and responsive to organisational goals and objectives.
  • Competent skills in use of MS Office Products (Word, Excel).
  • Salesforce CRM knowledge.
