YOU
You’ll be an experienced Consumable or Cardboard Sales Representative with at least 2+ years direct selling and business development experience. You’ll have a self starter attitude, have a solid work ethic that enables you to work with a high degree of autonomy and the drive to continuously prospect, leveraging off your past and newly acquired customer base and developing new business leads.
ROLE
This is a newly created role which has been generated by our continued growth and expansion into the VIC market. While your focus will be on our core consumable offerings, we are in a unique position to offer additional products such as cardboard and industrial timber products through our other Melbourne based facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining some existing key accounts but there will be a strong focus on new business and growing your customer base. The territory will cover all of the Melbourne metropolitan area.
EXPECTATIONS
- You must have a minimum of 2+ years prior experience in sales in the consumable/cardboard sector
- You must be able to hunt for new business and account manage as you secure new business
- Identify new opportunities and follow them through to a successful close.
- You’ll be hungry and competitive whilst maintaining your professionalism.
- You’ll know your budget targets and be able to clearly illustrate your plans on reaching these targets on a quarterly basis
- Exposure to quoting and tendering would be advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication is required
- An average knowledge of computing, (Outlook, Excel, Word, Inventory management systems)
- Competent with measuring and offering solutions to customers
- To be able to work independently post the initial induction period
- Able to assist you fellow sales colleagues with technical knowhow when required
