For more than half a century, our client has been Australia's premier and most experienced kit home manufacturer. They have assisted countless customers in realising their dream of constructing their own homes.
They are a family-owned business with offices located in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Canberra. Our main office, nestled at the base of the Blue Mountains, features three fully furnished display homes for visitors to explore.
This role involves sales responsibilities, including responding to inquiries, follow-ups, addressing questions, and providing guidance to potential customers on building processes, council requirements, and related matters. Once everything is confirmed, the Sales Representative will facilitate the customer's sign-up process. Subsequently, the Sales Representative will continue as the main contact point as the company prepares council plans and assists the customer in navigating regulatory aspects such as energy compliance, where necessary.
The office operates from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 3 pm on weekends. You will need to cover the sales office every second weekend, taking the Thursday and Friday off in lieu.
Duties include:
- Handle inquiries via phone and email.
- Utilise our in-house CAD software to customise our standard home designs to meet customer preferences (training provided).
- Prepare quotations for customers.
- Provide ongoing support which may include site visits and advice on finance, council regulations, and technical matters such as bushfire ratings and energy compliance.
- Owner building is a specialized field, and informing and advising customers is a significant aspect of the role.
- Skillfully qualify potential customers.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and our drafting team once a deposit is secured, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided for the creation of their council plans.
Essential Criteria:
- Prior experience in the building industry is essential.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including our in-house CAD software, email, and mapping software.
- Previous sales experience is required.
- Ability to work methodically
- A friendly, helpful, and positive demeanor.
- Strong listening and customer qualifying skills
