Additional Information:
- This role is Permanent Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
- The internal job title for this role is Sales Coordinator
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a day (from 9:00am) and evening shifts (until 9:30pm). You also have the availability to work alternating weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area
As a Sales Shift Supervisor your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising and coordinating the daily operation of the team.
- Support daily operational problems and reacting appropriately to urgent issues, escalating to the department manager where necessary.
- Sharing specialist knowledge of the IKEA Kitchen and Dining product range, services, and tools to secure a high level of competence within the team whilst demonstrating a willingness to take on additional responsibility in this area.
- Encouraging the team to actively sell the department's top-selling products, prioritised products, and IKEA service products to maximise sales and long-term profitability.
- Keeping the area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced, and fully stocked, and ensuring that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are always in place to give customers a positive shopping experience.
- Analysing and adjusting sales space capacities based on system parameters (sales location management) to secure high stock availability.
- Supporting customers with their kitchen design process using the Kitchen Planning 3D rendering software and accessory workshop. You will build strong relationships with the customer throughout their planning journey and bring the kitchen of their dreams to life.
- Following up on customers after initial planning appointments, via phone call to discuss their kitchen designs, answer questions, and address any concerns.
- Actively approach customers to identify their needs by asking insightful questions and advising them on the best kitchen solutions for them.
As a Sales Shift Supervisor you are or have:
- Looking to develop and grow within the business.
- Friendly and comfortable with connecting and interacting with people.
- Comfortable with coordinating your team, setting priorities, and delegating responsibility.
- Passionate about people's everyday life at home and home furnishing, and you enjoy working in a fast-paced and future-oriented environment.
- Able to able to optimise sales through thorough knowledge of the IKEA product range, local market, and customers.
- Adaptable and energetic, with strong verbal and written communication skills for successful stakeholder management.
- You have proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA kitchens range.
- Previous experience in a similar role or Kitchen Planning is highly regarded.
- Able to deliver exceptional customer service and foster an inclusive and positive co-worker experience.
